OUR LOVE STORY

How we met

In December of 2020, as the year was winding down, fate intervened through Match.com, where Durrell first reached out to Natosha with a message that sparked something special. Intrigued yet cautious, Natosha agreed to meet—but brought her close friend along, just in case. Their first date took place at Deerpark Tavern, a cozy and memorable spot where laughter, good conversation, and undeniable connection began to take root. What started as a simple online message quickly blossomed into something real, setting the foundation for a love story that neither of them could have predicted.

Fast forward to

As their relationship grew, so did their understanding of one another. What began with cautious curiosity evolved into a deep and steady connection built on emotional and social support. Through life’s highs and lows, they learned to lean on each other—not just as partners, but as best friends. Late-night talks turned into moments of healing, shared laughter became their rhythm, and they found comfort in each other’s presence. They celebrated victories big and small, and faced challenges with patience and grace. Over time, they discovered the beauty of vulnerability and the strength found in true companionship. Each day brought them closer, not just in love, but in purpose.

The proposal

On January 13th, 2024, what seemed like a simple request for help turned into a life-changing moment. Durrell told Tosha he was organizing a principal party and asked her to assist with the guest list, speak on his behalf, and bring the cake. Always willing to support him, she gladly agreed—unaware of what was waiting. When she arrived at her parents’ café, expecting a casual event, she was met with a room filled with familiar faces—family and close friends gathered not for a party, but for something far more meaningful. As the realization began to set in, Durrell stood before her, ready to take the next step in their journey. Surrounded by love, he asked her to marry him—and in that unforgettable moment, their forever truly began.
